DESCRIPTION:South Wake Conservationists\, one of our neighboring NCWF chapters\, is hosting Kids in NATURE Day. We’re excited to help spread the word about this engaging event that inspires children and families to explore and appreciate the natural world.\nKids in Nature Day is back for the fifth year in row! Fall is a great time for outdoor events\, and this event is free. All kids and families are welcome.\n\n\nDate: Sat.\, Oct. 10th (rain date Oct. 11th)\n\n\nTime: 1:00-4:00 PM\n\n\nPlace: Lake Benson Park\, Garner\, NC\n\n\nFREE\n\n\nConnecting kids with nature through fun\, interactive\, and hands-on activities\nAttended by hundreds of area children and parents the past four years\, Kids in Nature Day 2026 is back again by popular demand.  We will have a variety of live animal exhibits\, including the very popular birds-of-prey\, reptiles\, amphibians\, cool “bugs\,” aquatic life\, and more\, as well as over twenty different interactive and fun nature-oriented activity stations. \nOur whimsical musician will be onsite again for interactive musical fun\, and Ranger Rick will be all around the event greeting the kids and posing for photos.  There will be ice cream and other treats available onsite. \nWalk down the paths along the field\, through the woods\, and down by the lake to discover the many different activities with plenty of space to not feel crowded.  Earn cool prizes by getting your activity cards stamped.
