Hunter Ed
Deer season opens on September 12 (archery) and runs through January 1. If you are not certified yet, you are watching the season from the sidelines.
We can fix that in one day.
Date: Saturday, September 26, 2026
Time: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Location: Woodcreek Neighborhood Clubhouse, 5200 Lockley Rd., Apex, NC 27539
Cost: Free
Register: https://license.gooutdoorsnorthcarolina.com/Event/ViewEvent.aspx?id=155551
You take the course and the test on the same day and leave with your digital North Carolina Hunter Education Certificate. That certificate is what lets you buy a hunting license and hunt on your own.
Finish on September 26, and you still have more than three months of deer season in front of you, including the entire gun season. Miss this one and the next opportunity may fall well into the season… Can we see you there?
