If you visit our login page, we set a temporary cookie to check whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie holds no personal data and is deleted when you close your browser.

When you log in, we also set cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last two days and screen option cookies last one year. If you log out, the login cookies are removed.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content such as videos, images, or articles. Embedded content from other websites behaves the same way as if you had visited that website directly.

Those websites may collect data about you, use cookies, add their own third-party tracking, and track how you use the embedded content, especially if you have an account with them and are logged in.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the organizations below, and only for the reasons given.

North Carolina Wildlife Federation (NCWF). Fall Line Outdoors is a chapter of NCWF, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and NCWF is the legal organization behind our program. We share participant, volunteer, and donor information with NCWF for program administration, insurance, donation records and receipts, and required reporting. Donations made through our website are handled by NCWF through its online giving platform, and NCWF’s own privacy policy applies to that information.

Program partners. We work with partner organizations, such as Opportunity Outdoors, to run hunting, fishing, and education programs. If you agree during the application process, we may share your name, contact details, and the program you signed up for with the partner involved in that program.

Service providers. We use outside services to run our website, email, files, forms, and analytics, such as our web host, Microsoft 365, Zapier, and Google Analytics. These providers process information for us and may not use it for their own purposes.

Legal and safety reasons. We may share information when the law requires it, or when needed to protect the safety of participants, for example with emergency services during an event.

Photos, video and audio. These follow the Media section above. We do not share them with any third party without written consent from each person shown.

Password resets. If you request a password reset, your IP address is included in the reset email.

Changing your mind. You can withdraw your consent to partner sharing at any time by emailing info@falllineoutdoors.com. This stops future sharing but cannot recall information already shared.

How long we keep your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its details are kept indefinitely. This lets us recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them for review.

For people who register on our website, we also store the personal information in their user profile. Users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time, except their username. Website administrators can also see and edit this information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can ask for a file with the personal data we hold about you, including data you gave us. You can also ask us to delete your personal data. This does not include data we must keep for administrative, legal or security reasons.

Where your data is sent

Visitor comments may be checked by an automated spam detection service.
