Heads up: You arrange your own transportation. Spaces are limited and filled in the order applications arrive.
Gear to bring
- One 9–10 ft saltwater surf fishing rod
- 4000–5000 saltwater spinning reel with braided line (20-30 lbs)
- Circle hooks
- Swivels + 20 lb leader
- Sputnik or pyramid weights — large, 6 oz
- Fishing pliers (some fish are nasty — don’t touch directly)
Take it easy — we’ll help you get your tackle together on site, but you still need to bring it with you.
The stinky bait
- Mullet
- Shrimp
- Octopus
Live bait outperforms artificial — but it’s your call, and we respect that.
Can’t decide? Pack this:
Rig & bait
- Shrimp
- Size 1/0–5/0 circle hook
- Matching swivel
- 6 oz pyramid weight
For you
- Chair to sit on
- Long sleeves, hat, sunscreen
- Water, water, and water
- Snacks and a towel
If you keep fish
- Fillet knife
- Cooler with ice

Day-of logistics
First cast at 9 am. And 9 am is the latest — arrive early.
Driving on sand: permanent 4×4 with tires at 20 psi only. Otherwise you will get stuck. Bring a pump to reinflate before heading home.
