Want to learn how to turn your deer harvest into tasty, ready-to-eat meals?  You’ll learn step-by-step how to prepare your deer for the table and freezer this fall.

The mission of the Fall Line Outdoors Chapter of the North Carolina Wildlife Federation is all about creating opportunities to explore the outdoors through hands-on hunting and fishing adventures. Whether you’ve never done it before or just want to learn more, we’ve got room for you!

Space at this event is limited, however, so consider applying today. Individuals new to hunting will receive priority should registrations exceed venue capacity. Thank you for your understanding.

Here’s how to register:

  1. Complete this online application online (below), expect to receive an email confirming your acceptance.
  2. Up to 30 days in advance, but no later than Oct 9th: Request access to the base by applying for Fort Bragg Visitor Pass.
Select:  Army, Fort Liberty (or Fort Bragg), Visitor Pass, Enter Driver’s License Number, Reason for visit: “Official Business”
  3. Meet at McKellars Lodge Skinning Shed on Oct 11th 10:45am: No deer meat needed – just come ready to learn!
    • Bring your boning knife and cutting board to practice what you learn
    • Here are directions from the Fort Bragg Visitor Center, 3550 All American Fwy, Fort Liberty, NC 28310, to the McKellars Lodge Skinning Shed (Google Maps)
    • Reminders:
      1. You must complete a background check to get a pass into the base. If granted access, you will be required to present your Driver’s License to the gate guard.
      2. If you are a concealed weapon holder, leave that weapon at home. This access DOES NOT allow you to bring a weapon onto the base. Bringing an unregistered weapon onto a military base is a felony.

Let’s take your outdoor skills to the next level!
