Students enrolled in the NewHEMP program are invited to participate in two (2) fall food plot installations.
- Learn how to take soil samples for nutrient analysis
- Prep the field
- Lay down seed
- Install exclusion cages
Food plots can be an invaluable tool, especially in areas where preferred food sources are scarce. Done right, they will attract deer from a large area to browse throughout the fall hunting season and into early winter when high-quality food is hard to find.
